California Pozza Kitchen – California Pizza Kitchen, known in the food industry as CPK, is a polished casual la carte Restaurant chain specializing in California-style pizza. The restaurant was started in 1985 by lawyers Rick Rosenfield and Larry Rami in Beverly Hills, California, USA.
Chain California Pizza kitchens are widely known for innovative and non-traditional pizzas, such as “authentic BBQ chicken pizza”, BLT, Thai chicken, and jerk Jamaican pizza pizza. They also serve a variety of pastas, salads, soups, sandwiches and desserts. They have an extensive children’s menu for children aged 10 and under which include a variety of different pizzas, pastas, salads, and chicken.
In 1985, hemp and Rosenfield collected $ 200,000 in bank loans and savings with $ 350,000 investment from friends to rent space at Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills, California.
The first menu, including the famous Pizza Chicken BBQ, was developed by Ed LaDou, then a pizza chef at the Spago Wolfgang Puck restaurant. CPK became a success, and the company thrived throughout Southern California. In 1992, there were 26 CPKs.
